Hotel Minneapolis

The Hotel Minneapolis project was a remodel of a one hundred year old bank/office building attached to a four star hotel. Project obstacles were a skyway, bank and 24 hour telephone switching station that were operational throughout construction. The project included a restaurant, kitchen, meeting rooms, historic lobby including vault doors from the original bank and 224 guestrooms.

Parsons’ scope included the removal of existing and installation of new electrical services, mechanical equipment and life safety systems – all with the occupants having little or no electrical disruption. The restaurant and lobby of this hotel are  customized including two dimming systems and over fifty custom light fixtures. Parsons completed the design, electrical equipment installation, voice/data design and installation, testing and commissioning, and design and installation of a fire alarm system.
