Minneapolis VA

The Minneapolis VA Health Care System (VAHCS) is a teaching hospital providing a full range of patient care services with state-of-the-art technology, as well as education and research. Parsons provides continual, ongoing support to the facilities of the Minneapolis VA by providing and installing security systems.

Parsons also installed the electrical systems, raceways, and lighting to accommodate new state-of-the-art radiology equipment within existing X-Ray space limitations.

Another project with the Minneapolis VA was this 64,000 sq. ft., 29 bed facility which is for patients with spinal cord injuries or disorders. Project includes full physical therapy, hydro-therapy, and administration wing. This design-assist project included equipment procurement and coordination, equipment installations, systems coordination for fire alarm, nurse call, voice/data, security, MATV, Wander Alarm, and multiple building shutdowns of existing facility.

Parsons also assisted with the remodel of the hemodialysis unit. Parsons scope included renovation and replacement of the existing lighting systems, critical and emergency branch circuitry, upgrades to the nurse call, paging, and fire alarm systems.

Parsons also provided the total renovation of the Fire Alarm system. This included all new raceways, infrastructure, and control equipment. Parsons connected 12 campus buildings to the new fire alarm monitoring system.
